| As a follow up to this presentation, RGA members are invited to visit the Famous Trains model railway in Markeaton Park from about 2:00p.m. on Saturday, 25 October. This will be a normal opening day for the railway, so anyone may attend, paying the usual admission prices. For more details and directions to the venue, see the Famous Trains website. RGA Meetings take place in the Alexandra Hotel, 203 Siddals Road, Derby DE1 2QE, with presentations starting at 7:30p.m. The room will be open from about 7:00p.m. to ensure a punctual start.There is no charge for admission, but we do suggest a donation of £3 per person to cover necessary expenses.Hot and cold drinks and snack food may be purchased at the bar.The venue is a short walk from Derby Railway Station, which is also served by regular bus services from Derby city centre.There is a small car park at the side of the building, or ample on-street parking in nearby Canal Street DE1 2RJ, where parking in metered bays is free after 6:00p.m. |
