Great Central Memorium Day for Mark Ratcliffe
Organised by Pam Ratcliffe, a nunber of Society Members, along with friends and members of the family, gathered at Loughborugh Central station on Sunday 30th October, for a “farewell ride ” to clebrate the life of Mark, and for his family to perform a final farewell as his ashes were dispersed from the loco, 48305 (one of Mark’s favourite classes), at Swithland reservoir.
Pam had organised a charter coach for the party, which was revealed as the Observation Saloon attached to the rear of the 12.50 departure. All the party enjoyed the company on what was a very fitting occasion to the memory of our late Chairman.
